About Ed

Hi,

My name is Ed Mackay and I have been running Mini Monsters since 2013. During that time I have presented the Mini Monsters to thousands of children and adults at various locations from schools & nurseries, clubs & groups through to music festivals, science festivals and events for organisations such the Royal Society of Biology.

I have spent my career working with and studying animals, I’m passionate about animal welfare and the environment. I have a particular love for nature and ecology and the importance of the natural world to our wellbeing.

Having the opportunity to share my passion with the next generation gives me enormous pleasure and I get a huge amount of satisfaction from inspiring learning in a fun way.

I have a degree in Environmental Sciences and an Education Diploma, I am fully DBS checked. I hold £5million public liability insurance and an animal activity licence. All certificates are available on request.

Thanks for visiting my site and I hope to meet you soon!

Ed Mackay.

Just wanted to say a massive thank you for coming to our school yesterday. The children thoroughly enjoyed their sessions and we were all thrilled that every child and teacher was able to enjoy the experience too. You are so knowledgeable and you also talk very well to our young children. I really appreciate how adaptable you were throughout the day.

Thank you once again for a really amazing birthday party for Millie this afternoon.

You are really wonderful at working with kids (and adults) and everyone got so much from it!

Thank you very much once again
