MiniMonsters for Groups & Events

Wildlife, learning and laughter for all ages!

MiniMonsters is available to groups and events from one session to whole day events.

Past visits have included libraries, scout & guide groups, toddler groups, children's centres, holiday clubs, home education groups, children's parties, youth clubs, residential homes, special needs groups, garden centres, Women's Institute, wildlife clubs, museums, universities, shops, corporate, professional development, fun days, carnivals and many more!

Big Foot and Mini Big Foot climate change sessions are also available to groups (please see schools page for more information).

Groups

A standard animal encounter lasts for approximately 50 minutes, although this can be adapted to suit your group's needs.  Each session is ideally aimed at a group size of up to approximately 30 children to enable all of the children to handle the animals. 

During the session, I introduce each animal and its habitat, diet, anatomy, behaviour, etc and encourage plenty of audience interaction.  Every child is then given the opportunity to handle the animal if they choose to.  No person is ever forced to hold any animal that he/she is not comfortable with.

The encounter can be themed to certain topics, for example care of animals or endangered species.  For the under five's, one standard session can be split into two back-to-back 30 minute sessions for two smaller groups of children.

The roadshow is popular with children and adults alike and is also suitable for adult interest groups (e.g. wildlife clubs, WI) as well as special needs or residential homes.

Events

MiniMonsters can also provide timetabled sessions or drop in handling for public events at libraries, museums and attractions, garden centres, shops, businesses and community events.  Visits to outdoor events are limited and suitable shelter must be provided by the organisers to ensure the animals' welfare.
